Pemberton Borough Utility Distribution Relocation
Project Overview
Carr & Duff, Inc was tasked with a design-build utility relocation project for the Borough of Pemberton, NJ. Existing utility poles and overhead 5kv distribution wiring had to be replaced for a right-of-way road widening project.
C&D crews built a ¾” mile new pole line adjacent to the existing pole line and installed new primary, secondary wiring as well as new-dual wound transformers and cut-outs. Due to the sequencing of work, temporary jumpers were required to maintain customers and prepare for permanent cut-overs. After completion of energization of the new primary cables and all secondary connections, C&D demolished the old line to the communication utility property demarcation.
